The SoRA (Social Responsibility Assessment) is an assessment that uses Performance Standards to help teachers assess their students in relation to the Social Responsibility Performance Standards. This is a one page “dual assessment” where the student starts a portion of the assessment and the teacher completes it. We have found this assessment to be particularly effective at parent teacher conferences and in improving student behaviour. This assessment was created prior to BC’s redesigned curriculum, but still aligns with the spirit of the BC Core Competencies – in particular Social Awareness and Responsibility.

The SoRA has had a refresh in P.L.A.N. for Better Learning (2015).
